Integrate Embodiment Sessions into BGF
Betriebliche Gesundheitsförderung (BGF), Germany’s corporate health promotion framework, provides companies with structured, tax-advantaged opportunities to enhance employee well-being. Under § 20b SGB V, employers can implement stress management and movement-based programs as part of an integrated occupational health strategy. These measures directly support employees in high-stress roles, sedentary work environments, or positions requiring extensive interaction, such as shift work, customer service, or remote work.
Employers can benefit from tax exemptions of up to €600 per employee annually for workplace health initiatives that meet the quality and effectiveness standards outlined in the GKV-Spitzenverband’s Prevention Guide (2023). Additionally, health insurance providers may offer financial incentives to companies and employees participating in structured programs. Effective interventions include resilience training, self-management techniques, mindfulness, structured relaxation practices, ergonomic movement coaching, and strategies to counteract prolonged sitting—all aimed at reducing absenteeism, enhancing performance, and fostering a resilient workforce.
As part of this framework, mindful movement and embodiment courses align with BGF funding criteria, offering a holistic, science-backed approach to stress reduction and workplace well-being.
